Supporting cross border developments for waste management services and technology industries

MK Solutions Europe prime focus to support cross-border developments for projects in the field of waste management services and technology industries. At present the company has ongoing project developments:

DRY PAPER AND BOARD-BASED PACKAGING WASTE RECYCLING

The technology makes it possible to recycle packaging production waste as well as consumer waste produced by customers in restaurants and food outlets. The project has technology that allows for 100% recycling of packaging using Dry method that does not require water or other resources, which increases its applicability and sustainability parameters.

For the paper-board packaging dry pulping technology allows this waste to be separated into 2 components:
Cellulose fibre can be used for production of sorbent, disposable tableware, trays, goods for animals (fillers, bedding), mulch for agriculture and landscaping of parks and public gardens of cities.
The separated polymer can be used to create interior items, benches, bins, children's playgrounds.

Market highlights:

Paper-based packaging remains the largest source of packaging waste in the European Union. Paper and cardboard represent the largest share of total packaging waste materials and is the second fastest growing packaging waste stream. The growth of packaging waste will also be driven by the increased use of paper composites. Multimaterial food and beverage packaging are increasingly used in the food packaging sector in the search for alternatives for disposable plastic. Especially in the food sector, paper-based packaging has numerous applications, which is possible due to the combination of paper fibres with other materials such as plastics to increase water resistance. The separation into single materials and homogeneous waste streams is a prerequisite for high quality recycling and the production of new and safe food and beverage packaging materials.

RFID INLAY PRODUCTION

Full cycle for RFID tag production facility that includes own antenna, inlay creation with new production facilities in Europe and GCC region.

Businesses in sectors like Retail, logistics, warehousing, and transportation have a high demand for RFID solution as it helps to improve inventory management, increase efficiency (compared to barcodes and other tracking options), better visibility of the supply chain, and enhance product authenticity validation. Digital transformation is taking place across multiple industries and RFID is one of the solutions that well well-fitted to assist in this ongoing transformation.

One of additional upcoming stimulators for the use of RFID technology will be upcoming EU Digital Product Passport (RFID will be as one of key data carrier tools for DPP) , DPP is a key tool proposed by the EC to create the digital landscape, data exchange mechanisms, and transparency needed to close information gaps in value chains which enables better sourcing decisions and closed loop activities to tackle major environmental issues and tap into the $4.5tn opportunity of the circular economy. A digital product passport (DPP) is a structured collection of product-related data across a product's lifecycle to advance the transition to a circular economy and thereby support economic growth. RFID is identified as one of data carriers to be used in support of this process across various sectors.
